the following three items are assignments from a class i recently took. at the start of which i honestly knew nothing of js, but i am rather profficient in actionscript, and thus was able to pull off some fairly nifty solutions.

madlib generator >>

while lacking in strong ui or any design whatsoever, this is a pretty neat sentence generator. the count of sentences is based on the number of nouns you input, and will randomly assign the other parts of speech to the sentences. it has some simple language modification going on, and based on the number of rules it follows, you get some strong results. you also get some funny results, especially after you look at the code

again, mediocre ui, no prettification. you get what you pay for. ... this is a reasonably robust pay calculator for a single individual.

this is an interpretation of space invaders, built 100% in javascript. if i had hair it would be grey. for those who are curious, this took about 40 hours, over two weeks. this is not counting the hours i lay in bed writing code in my head. :)
